Misc Information
Listed below is some information you may find helpful:
Always call Mississippi One Call at 811 before you dig.
Water Valve

The valve that is located in the meter box is intended for Hilldale use only –many times homes have their own shut-off valve located somewhere between
the meter and the home. If you do not have your own valve Hilldale strongly recommends installation for your personal use.
High Usage

If you have high usage on a billing cycle
please check your meter (refer to our website for more information). The obvious culprit of high usage is often a leaking toilet.
Deposit & Fees

Your deposit is refundable if you move and do not owe anything. If there is a balance on the account we take that out of the deposit and either forward a final
bill or refund the remainder of the deposit. The membership fee and the connect fee is however, not refundable.
Sewage

If you are moving into Greenbriar
Subdivision or Oak Park you will need to contact Great River 885-801-8440 in reference to sewage services. Hilldale strictly provides water services.
East Village Residents need to call City of Vicksburg to get account set up at 601-634-4560.
Boil Water Notices

Make sure you always keep your phone
number updated for Boil Water Notices.
According to the Mississippi Department of Health, Hilldale Water has to issue a boil water notice
anytime water pressure is lost completely, meaning you would be without water. HWD notifies customers when there is a need to boil water through the following:
-
Local Radio Stations.
-
Customer Requested EMAIL Notification (email us and request this type of notification).
-
Phone Call-Out System.
We attempt to notify our customers as soon as possible when under a boil water notice, but unfortunately we have no control over leaking or broken lines.
Our crew will attempt to restore water services as quickly as possible – please be patient.
Water Meters

Water meters are read near the 15 th of
each month, and bills are mailed on the
last working day of the month. Bills are
due upon receipt. A 10% late charge will
be added to any balance that is not paid
by the 15 th of each month. Disconnect date is the 25th of each month for nonpayment on account. A $50 reconnection fee will be added to the total to restore service. Hilldale does not permit multiple connections to one meter; therefore, each service must have its own meter.
